The Dewey Donation System

dewey-ad-160x600 Although this isn’t really that grad school related, I thought I’d throw it out there. A few years ago author Pamela Ribbon started the Dewey Donation System to fund needy libraries by launching an "assault" on them–getting people to donate books from their Amazon wishlists without the libraries knowing. So far, we (I only say "we" because I have donated every year) have bombarded libraries involved with Katrina, the Tsunami, wild fires, and more. But you can read all about that on the about page. Reading is so important in education, and giving people the chance to read is one of the ways to encourage them. So please help a child by donating a few books. It might make all the difference for the future, determining whether or not they will make it to grad school someday too. If you do decide to donate, please leave a comment!
